Hello everyone. Although I discussed this question before on irc, today I
was redirected to the mailing list to keep the discussion more widely.

Personally I'm looking for (I, and many others) a platform that allows us to
create web applications quickly, from a system that could be considered
optimal. The demand is there something that is between the core of "code
igniter" or Kohona, and as flexible as Drupal or Joomla, but to the best of
the two approaches. Kohona and "Code Igniter" require initial development
are not ready to install directly, while Drupal and Joomla can not be
reduced and require a high level of resources.

Drupal has approximately 500,000 installer, Joomla more than two million.
Wordpress is clearly far ahead of what is currently Habari.

And there is Habari, which is now a blog, but below fully meets the demand
of which I spoke earlier. The idea is simple, habari turn into something
more than a blog platform, which due to the lack of a date for release,
complicating the ability to have that 'small core' that many web developers
are looking for. Version 0.7 is extended in time, the 1.0 could take months,
and I did not dare say that Web developers need to blogs, social networks,
or platforms of this type in one or two years.

To keep the initial orientation, habari could have a profile setup to
continue allowing it to be a blog, as it is so far, but for many of us (and
I mean many people who are using Drupal or Joomla currently) allow us to to
rapid change, having the flexibility of Drupal or Joomla, and the speed and
organization of a MVC platform as Habari.

The question is clear, what do you think of this change? Do you see as
possible?

Sorry for my probably poor english, I'm spanish ;)

Thanks in advance,
ilo
