I was doing this for a while. It was a pain.
I just went fixed things for 7.3 and it actually wasn't that bad. I've changed my issue
display to show just a few fields (including that one), so I'm actually pretty aware of
whether they've been filled in or not. I think that once we are actually getting useful
telemetry about issues, there will be incentive to keep this field up to date.
Here's a supplemental idea: how hard would it be to generate a telemetry stream for the
"unattached" issues in a release that have no workspace? Then we would get feedback from
the system about this issue.
