I discovered last night that some kind of spam bot has been designed to exploit the fact that you can request an account from Jira automatically and then use it to comment on existing issues. Thus, there were a bunch of issues in our system that had comments with links to porn sites and so forth. The Jira folks are aware of this:

I spent about an hour trying to clean up our issue database and also prevent this from occurring in the future. In the process, I messed up some permissions and prevented you from logging in (Julie and Hongbing already emailed me on this.) I think I've fixed it now. (Hongbing, I've changed your password for testing purposes; you'll need to regenerate it.)
