While I was busy breaking Jira this past weekend, I also discovered that I could
configure it so that developers could add other developers as 'watchers' to issues.
Previously, you could only add yourself as a watcher but couldn't add anyone else. I
have often wanted to add someone who I just knew would be fascinated to keep up with the
progress of an issue that someone else was working on. So, I've provided all
'developer'-level Jira users with this capability.
Let me know if this works for you, or else if you find it irritating and want it to go
back to the old way.
