hey I can imagine now how my misplaced "end" caused execution to skip the / div. Would an "end" in the haml always indicate a mistake? Maybe it could be flagged as an error.
The docs could show the formatting for if/else since the "if" and the "else" don't line up like they typically do in ruby source.
