Hi, Sounds like a bad download/bad burn. My money is on a bad download as 1 minute is way too little time to burn a whole CD unless you have a serious burner. You could try burning at a slower speed. If the download is OK that may help. I can't find an md5sum on their website t check it. Can you try downloading it on another machine and burning the disc on that?
If you're stuck I'm sure someone here would put a disc in the post for you or you could request a free one from the Ubuntu website. BTW do you know the next Ubuntu is coming out in 9 days?
