Hi Chris, I'd go along with Andy on this one. From personal experience I can say if you touch this one it it highly likely to come and bite you in the **** repeatedly.
I know you want to help but if you're not familiar with what you're installing (in this case) how to keep it free from virii and malware you are storing up a world of pain for yourself. The user will never be happy with it and every time something goes wrong with it you will get a phone call (and the blame). I've seen people fall out with friends over things like this and if it goes wrong and you are perceived as being "no good with computers" then you will never get the chance to "Linux her up". I would gently explain that you use Linux and not Windows so you don't have current Windows knowledge. I'd tell her I'd happily install Linux for her but if she wants Windows she would be better asking someone that uses Windows. You wouldn't ask someone that only drove a car to teach you to ride a motorcycle. Good luck, Paul.
