Does anyone actually have a blu-ray drive and have it working in Linux to watch movies on their Linux PC?
Have a look at a program called MakeMKV, which will allow you to rip the blu-ray to an mkv file which is playable on linux. The web site is http://makemkv.com/. On linux you have to download and compile from source, but it seems to work. I have tried one blu-ray and that worked for me.
Any blu-ray drive should work on linux. Kevin. -- Please post to: Hampshire@mailman.lug.org.uk Web Interface: https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/hampshire LUG URL: http://www.hantslug.org.uk --------------------------------------------------------------
