I'll just add my 2 cents.....
With the recently released 4.0, and also with 2.2, I've found it tends
to wipe out PulseAudio on a regular basis.... usually taking any other
audio apps with it (usually RhythmBox). And that's not just during
calls. It happens when playing the sign-in and sign-out sounds as
well......
