The referee has booked your favourite player, your
team has lost a crucial match and a star player has
shaved off his famous locks.  Let off steam with World
Cup Have Your Say, the BBC radio and online forum
giving football fans across the world an opportunity
to have a global rant on the FIFA World Cup everyday
from Friday, 9 June to Sunday, 9 July at 08.00 to
08.30 GMT.  

World Cup Have Your Say will be the world’s hub for
football fans.  It will give supporters across the
globe opportunities to share their opinions on
everything ranging from offside decisions and goal
celebrations, team selections and refereeing to the
best players and bad haircuts. The occasional big name
will pop up to give their personal view on the
tournament and listeners itching to speak to them can

The BBC will also provide daily, international
coverage of the World Cup in 33 languages including
Burmese – Chinese - English for Africa and the
Caribbean – French – Hausa – Hindi – Portuguese –
Spanish - Swahili and Vietnamese:

BBC Burmese will have a panel discussion with special
guests at four key stages throughout the tournament in
its Dawn Programme which broadcasts every Monday at
00.00 GMT.  BBC Burmese presenter Thuyein Kyaw Zaw
will be joined by former and current footballers and a
football mad celebrity to preview and analyse all the
teams before the tournament begins, before the quarter
final matches, before the semi-final matches and
before the final of the World Cup.  Dawn Programme
will also profile each team in the eight qualifying
groups and give a special prize of a radio to the
listener who correctly predicts the teams reaching the
semi-finals and finals of the World Cup.  Further

BBC Chinese sports producers Qingrong He and Sun Chen
will bring daily reports and stories from Germany -
inside and outside the venues. Their reports will be
heard on SW and in daily news bulletins to be
broadcast through BBC partner stations Tianjin Binhai
Radio, Dalian Radio, Qingdao Radio and Nanjing Radio. 
They will also be interviewed daily by BBC partner
stations Chongqing Radio in Sichuan Province,
Guangdong Radio in Guangzhou and Shanghai Sports Radio
which will also run a joint World Cup quiz with BBC
Chinese.  The top prize is a trip to London which
includes a city tour and tickets to a Premiership

The BBC's flagship English for Africa sports programme
Fast Track will have dedicated reporters in Germany
bringing the latest news, exclusive features and
player profiles on all five African teams
participating in the World Cup: Angola, Ghana, Ivory
Coast, Togo and Tunisia.  Their reports, starting
Friday, 9th June will feature online at

BBC Caribbean correspondent in Port of Spain, Tony
Fraser, will follow the progress of the team from the
smallest country to ever qualify for the World Cup,
Trinidad and Tobago, in a weekly column at
bbccaribbean.com  Meanwhile, in Germany football mad
Trinidadian Franka Philip will bring the stories from
fans or ‘Trini posse’ who have travelled from the
Caribbean and across the globe to support their team
in her own weekly column.  Visitors to

Also reporting in English will be reporters Rebecca
Kesby and Piers Wisbey who will tour the World Cup
venues in a camper van.  Listeners, unable to get to

audience.  They will also speak to the critics and the

BBC Afrique sports reporter Emmanuel Coste will be in
Germany bringing special reports and interviews with
key players from the Ivory Coast and Togo teams.  He
will keep French speaking listeners up to date with
the latest news and share stories and emotions from
fans on the football roller-coaster as they watch
their teams battle it out against the best in the
world.  Emmanuel will be supported by BBC Afrique
staff back home in London who will ensure every angle
of the tournament is covered from the first kick to
when the Jules Rimet trophy is lifted by the winning
team.  BBC Afrique will also bring coverage everyday
in programmes Matin at 06.00 GMT, Midi at 12.00 GMT,
World Cup Magazine at 12.30 GMT, Soir at 18.00 GMT and
in Sport Weekend broadcast every Saturday at 18.30

BBC Brasil journalists Diego Toledo, Eric Camara and
Marcelo Crescenti will be in Germany everyday from the
start of the tournament bringing the action, stories
and interviews from fans and the Brazilian team.

BBC Hausa sports producers Ahmed Abba Abdullahi and
Mohammed Ahmed will bring daily coverage of the
tournament with special focus on teams from Ghana,
Togo and the Ivory Coast.  They will quench the thirst
of all football lovers with up-to- the-minute reports,
analysis and interviews.   In Ghana, reporter Iddi Ali
will stand shoulder to shoulder with fans in Accra,
bringing the emotion and passion as they watch their
team play.  Reporter Shehu Saulawa will be in the
other football hot-spot in Africa, Nigeria.  They may
not be in the tournament but they are passionate
football lovers and Shehu will bring their opinions on
the games.

BBC Hindi reporter Manak Gupta is travelling to
Germany to bring special reports on all 32 teams and
their fans.  BBC Hindi World Cup reports will be heard
for six weeks on India's main national broadcaster All
India Radio's Gold 106.4 FM and Rajdhani 666 MW. 
These reports will also be relayed by All India
Radio’s 65 other major stations at 07.05 local time
starting 31 May until 10 July.   Mumbai based partner
station GO 92.5 FM will also carry BBC Hini'di's
coverage of the tournament. Manak’s reports will be

BBC Spanish American service radio and online
programme BBC Mundo will have sport producers Vladimir
Hernandez and Hector Riazuelo in Germany to bring
special reports on air and online on the six Latin
American teams taking part, including Spain.   Its
flagship programme BBC Mundo HOY is sending presenter
Luis Fernando Restrepo to broadcast directly from the
opening matches and the final.  The Service’s
programme BBC Deportes, which broadcasts three times
daily, will provide a 10 minute round-up at the end of
each day.  Listeners can also expect to hear daily
reports and stories, throughout the tournament,
looking at the other side of the World Cup.  Special

BBC Swahili sports commentator Juma Nkamia will be in
Germany bringing special daily reports from the heart
of Berlin.  Juma will also visit other stadiums
hosting matches throughout the month long championship
to bring back stories from the fans.  His reports will
be heard in BBC Swahili’s flagship morning programme
Amka na BBC which broadcasts for half an hour at 03.00
GMT (06.00 EAT and 05.00 CAT) and for another half
hour at 04.00 GMT (07.00 EAT and 06.00 CAT). Daily
updates and analysis will also be broadcast in BBC
Swahili programmes Dira ya Dunia at 15.30 GMT (18.30
EAT and 17.30 CAT) and Leo Africa at 17.45 GMT (20.45

BBC Vietnamese reporter Hong Thanh will be in Germany
for a week bringing the excitement of the games for
reports on air and online.  Listeners can also expect
daily bulletins rounding up each match as well as

talk about anything to do with the World Cup or
football in general such as match fixing and bribery
which is said to be affecting Vietnamese’s national
