** BRAZIL. 9664.404, Dec 15 at 0714, Voz Missionária with whistling, ID? Has
been fairly stable lately around this off-frequency (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** CHINA. 7415, Dec 15 at 1537, Firedragon jamming is S9 vs inaudible target,
RFA Chinese via Tinian at 15-19 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 5025, Dec 15 at 0707, R. Rebelde is S9 but music is just barely
modulated (JBM). Something is always wrong at RadioCuba. Wiggle that patchcord!
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 15438, Dec 15 at 1526, extremely distorted spurblob from RHC 15370
which is S9+30, no specific carrier to measure, so I go looking for more at
67-68 kHz intervals, approx.: 15302 at S9+10; weaker 15235 causing ACI to
intentional other RHC channel 15230; also circa 15167, 15100, 15504. Another
further could be light QRM to Trenton 15034-USB. Somethings are always wrong at
Radio Habana Cuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 15700, Dec 15 at 1531, CRI English relay is S9+20 but
overmodulated/distorted instead of usual undermodulation. Trying too hard?
Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 15700, Dec 14 at 2040, S9+20 open carrier. I`m quite sure it`s VOA
Greenville-B, warming up for the only-one-hour 2100 broadcast on 15580, which
usually is done on nearby 15570 to avoid overlapping with Botswana on 15580
until 2100, but not now. 15700 cuts off at 2048* and I immediately retune to
15570 where the same level OC is now running there (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1908 monitoring: confirmed Thursday December 14 at
2230.5 on WRMI 5850, S9+20; carrier did not come on until *2228.5. Not
confirmed UT Fri Dec 15 at 0030 on WBCQ 9330v-CUSB, tho there may be an
imagination-level JJBA carrier at times (neighbor 9265 WINB is very poor now
too). Next:

** U S A. 9455, Dec 15 at 0710, WRMI-5 is back on the air, S9+10 with Oldies //
9395. 9455 had been AWOL since at least 1054 Dec 13 when first noticed. Still
on at 1428 with `The Power Hour`; 1520 back to Oldies // 9395 & >> 7780, as TPH
replay only lasts two hours now at 13-15 weekdays. It would make more sense for
the replay of Friday afternoon to go out on Saturday morning rather than
Monday; unsure which without checking yet (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** U S A. 17775.149, Dec 15 at 1521, KVOH is S9+30 and distorted in Spanish,
but no spur field audible, still off-frequency like Dec 13 at same time (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1700, Dec 15 at 1422 UT, dead air from stronger station, presumably
KKLF Richardson TX, DF seems to fit, while English talk audible from
understation, presumably KBGG Des Moines IA (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1500+, Dec 15 at 1416 UT, het on the plus side to KSTP, roughly
NNW/SSE. Doubt it`s my closest KJIM Sherman, often audible and on-frequency;
there are three other Texans, closest to the bearing being KANI Wharton; or
from LA, KCLF New Roads (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1710, Dec 15 at 0724 UT, music is JBA but S9 on the meter, sounds
like pop and then English? announcer. In that case probably not Retén lo que
Tienes, Baton Rouge pirate which typically aired screaming gospel huxter in
Spanish, not heard for some weeks (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
