I think we are differing in terminology. The code that is in the public VistA is a hash code, not an encryption code. I was using the term in a generalized way.
The code is in XUSHSH.m if anyone wants to look at it. Here is is in all its glory. EN(X) ; generic hashing algorithm -- ASCII encoding of string N %HASH S %HASH="" N %CHAR F %CHAR=1:1:$L(X) D . I %CHAR#2 S %HASH=$A(X,%CHAR)_%HASH . E S %HASH=%HASH_$A(X,%CHAR) Q %HASH Kevin --- Roy Gaber <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > The encryption code should not be present in the > public release of VistA. > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > On Behalf Of Kevin > Toppenberg > Sent: Thursday, December 16, 2004 9:02 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [Hardhats-members] How to set up > electronic signature. > > Yes they were replaced.
