It's working just fine. You get all entries that either start with MA
*OR* have the abbreviation MA. FileMan is doing a multiple cross
reference look up.

I am trying to inquire into the STATE file using the ABBREVIATION field.
I
get different results when I use "MA" and "TN" when asked for STATE -
here
is what I get
Select OPTION: iNQUIRE TO FILE ENTRIES
OUTPUT FROM WHAT FILE: STATE//
Select STATE NAME: MA
1 MAINE ME ME
2 MANITOBA MB MB
3 MARSHALL ISLANDS MH MH
4 MARYLAND MD MD
5 MASSACHUSETTS MA MA
CHOOSE 1-5:
Select STATE NAME: TN TENNESSEE TN
ANOTHER ONE:
I get Tennessee state info when I use "TN" abbreviation. But, not or
Massachusetts. I verified if the AABREVIATION field has a cross
reference
and it does. My question is why is the cros reference not working for
look
ups?
