My script was a M script, so it could be made to be
platform independant.  It took a big XML file that
contained data settings to be put into the database,
and also code for putting that data in.  And could do
the entire configuration process in about 2 minutes.

The problem is that putting some data fields into the
database is dependant on other fields already being
present.  So one might run the script once and find it
to crash.  Then run it again immediately, and it would
succeed because the first run had partly gotten the
required info in.  

So my next step was to be, before I shelved it, of
figuring out the ORDER that data would need to be put
in.  I would group fields into a pass #1 and pass #2
etc.
