I would like to point out that if anyone is interested in influencing the VA in a positive manner, that this mailing list is read by many within the VA and that a more circumspect manner of dealing with controversy would be appropriate. I do not think the recent flame wars are doing anyone any good. It is a new element and, in my opinion, certainly not a good one.
So next time, please leave in the education and take out the flame. There is clearly a lot of much needed expertise being offered, but it is not likely to be appreciated or utilized if it continues to be presented in this manner. If a flame is not responded to in kind, I think the one who lets it just lie there will have "won" in the hearts and minds of most of us. Also, please keep in mind that Larry is not some kind of ruling monarch at VA, sure, he has more influence there than you or I, but that doesn't assure anything. As well, believe it or not, we would like to use something opensource to manage and develop an opensource application. Either way, all involved would like option #1 to be the last ditch option, not the first avenue of pursuit. --Todd ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Power Architecture Resource Center: Free content, downloads, discussions, and more. http://solutions.newsforge.com/ibmarch.tmpl _______________________________________________ Hardhats-members mailing list Hardhats-members@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hardhats-members -- Nancy Anthracite ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Power Architecture Resource Center: Free content, downloads, discussions, and more. http://solutions.newsforge.com/ibmarch.tmpl _______________________________________________ Hardhats-members mailing list Hardhats-members@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hardhats-members
