Kevin, one of things I'm researching is scripting gtm commands. In other words, given a standard NDC file (haven't researched availability or format), generate a file containing the user actions necessary to populate the file you mentioned. Similarly, one could build a web interface which does the same thing -
e.g. invoke a cgi script which adds a patient for example.
In fact, software tools exist specifically for the purpose of building pretty user interfaces around older green-screen applications - they work by defining macros for common user actions.
