[H] iPhone or Android

I have temporary need for a particular Android or phone app. 
Unfortunately, I am a windows phone user. I really like my windows 
phones and don't plan on switching. The company app developer is 
working on a windows version but I must have the app by the end of 
the month. So I need to pick up a iphone or android phone.

I want something with a easy learning curve, something that if I need 
an app there is always an app written for it, ... I don't have to 
sign up to things in order to use the phone like itunes or Zune does, 
no proprietary cords. .. able to plug into USB and see my files and 
or put files on the phone. I don't want to hack it, or spend time 
learning or tweaking it all I want to do is easily install free apps 
and get to work. With all this I am thinking of a used Iphone 5 or 5s on Ebay.

Iphone 5 is popular, a fairly big screen and the number one platform 
to provide phone apps for if you are a developer. So it should be 
able to run anything I need to run now or in the future.  But I know 
little to nothing about the iphones or android phones so what do you 
guys think?
