That's convenient to have it included. Looks like NT4 will work fine for
my purposes as soon as I get a NIC with the proper driver. Who knows,
maybe that 3Com card I have went bad like the hardisk did. 8 yr. old
hardware after all. Thanks for the assistance fellas.
Sooner or later I'll get around to installing Linux. It would have been
perfect for this application except for the learning curve I would have
gone through. Man, I've been awake all night! @:)>

*shrug* I keep both distros hanging around. The only reason I suggested
Mandriva is because it has a folding client that comes with it.

I think you'd be much, much better off with Ubuntu than Mandriva.
I think you'd be better off with Win95 over NT4 anyway. At
least you'd have Plug and Play, and perhaps FAT32.
Considering that both OS's have gone to the great security
dustbin in the sky, it doesn't matter much.
You can still share files & printers with 95.

Well, I didn't call every shop in town but no I didn't come across
anything post-Win95 except NT4. Yeah, the Promise
controller came with
pretty much all Windows drivers except 3.1.
