When you use percentages, you're comparing to the entire market. 6% is a niche market. Sure it might be a lot of computers, but trust me, Apple wants to more than just a bit player.
How big of a slice does Gateway have now? How big does HP/Compaq have?
Apple doesn't compete against just Gateway or Dell or HP/Compaq. It competes against Wintel.
