So, then ignoring prices, whats the best motherboard for AMD X2's and for
Intel Core 2's?

I would love to have 3 or 4 people mention what they think,a d then maybe
even a WHY.. and have people then talk about
them all, saying why their choice was better, perhaps or why another was
not. That way I know at least people are HERE, hehe.. and have ideas, and
experience in choosing the best.

Hello Ken,

Depends on the shipping version of the BIOS (IINM, mine came with F4 or F5).
Unless you'd want the VT of the E6000 series, I'd suggest the E4300
despite the current price gouging.
9x multiplier + savings on DDR2-667 for the win! ;)

As far as RAM goes, I'd vote for the Kingston Value DDR2-667 stuff.
Stock voltage of 1.8V (vs. 1.9V of other
value lines, including Crucial and Muskin) is nice for OCing (though
you probably won't be running the RAM much
beyond spec with the E4300).

Honestly at this point, unless you aren't planning on OCing, the Core
2 Duos provide a lot more bang for the buck.
