Thane,
Have you tried this RAM diagnostic tool from MS?

Just wondering? Finally got its' dot-iso burned to a CD-r/w, and it
is now running. I am trying to certify the remaining dimm in my
"suspect" new PC. So far, so good.
I've tried it and use it from time to time. About the same as
MemTest - if it finds a failure, then you can be pretty sure it's a
bad DIMM. If it doesn't find a problem, it doesn't prove a good DIMM.
