Ms sent an email out to technet people a few weeks ago and basically inferred 
that the whole reason that they were offering a non-shipment version and online 
updates was that rtm would get to us right away.

I should have been more specific - availability on Connect for TAP members.
I suspect that availability on MSDN and TechNet will be sooner than
Microsoft has publicly stated, but you never know. They still haven't
officially even announced RTM.
