I would think that mostly any cable from a reputable company would be fine. It is supposed to pass certain tests to be rated Cat 6. One good place is www.monoprice.com. I think that any of the plenum cables are fine for in-wall.
I have heard the same - that solid wire is good for wiring point-to-point where it will not be moved and that stranded is best for patch cables and there the cables will be moved a lot.
