Do they rely on uPnp?
If you plug a laptop into the network cable one of the TV devices are using, does it work properly?
Lastly, if: A. you have the ability to clone traffic to another switch port or B. can insert an old hub between the device & switch to tap off of, you might be able to use wireshark to analyze the traffic.
