Just a follow-up on this...I'd been using Start8 on my PCs and Classic Shell (free) on my Server 2012 installations. On your suggestion, I tried out StartIsback...and it is definitely better. It is far closer in look and feel to the Win7 menu than the others. Just bought a 20-pack business license (allows for direct deactivations) for good measure.
