Thanks Thane. But, I took your suggested reading and decided against the
DECT 6.0.
Mostly because I do not wish to have a 1.9GHz transmission envelope
24/7. Perhaps if/when Orchid brings their product to the west, I will
rethink this technology.

I didn't mean to start a war here. I was replacing my cordless phones
last year and looked at DECT 6.0. I'm pretty sure all the "scary"
stuff out there is BS, but it does seem reasonable to consider it, and
if you don't need to have an always on transmitter beside your bed,
don't have one. Of course, given all the crap we've already pumped
into the environment, worrying about DECT seems like wetting a river.
