Guess I may rethink DECT now. Did find the Orchid LR phones for sale in Belgium! LOL! And, have a feeling they are very expensive. Hmm? More thought now; or I look at full-
featured 5.8MHz replacements.

I read about this about a year ago when I was looking at new phones. Don't have the links now, but basically, the concern is that DECT phones transmit all the time, whereas older phones only transmit when you're talking on them. Therefore if you have the unit beside your bed or on your desk, you are bathed in radiation from the device 8 hours per day. Is the radiation dangerous? A lot of people say the claim is ridiculous, but given that the new versions of DECT phones now have low rad ratings, I'm a bit leery.
