Design News and Digikey have teamed up to give free online webinars.
Currently they are presenting the Microcontroller Basics course. The
lectures are live at 2pm EST. Lecture lasts 45 minutes with 15 minutes
for questions via the forum. The first lecture was Monday, the archived

You'll probably have to register with Design News to access this. So
far the information is not that deep and intensive, and the material is
oriented toward system designers. Scattered within each lecture are
suggestions on good books on various subjects and links to supporting
websites.
This course is M-F, then a week off and then the 'Advanced' course.
