[H] AOL Mail (cringe)

I have a friend that was on AOL mail, so I rarely sent him links.  Now 
that he has a real internet provider, he accesses AOL mail as webmail.  
So the question is, with all these changes, does AOL still required that 
screw-up way of being able to click on embedded links (in email)?
