Ok, I tried that... but it didn't work on the protected files. It is
Open Source and I have read that there are all sorts of versions
floating although I downloaded it right off
http://mctvconverter.vivolum.net/ . But apparently your copy
works.... can you email it to me please.
You're a MC expert Chris ... Is the only thing MC will let you stream
to an XBOX? Does that work... how does it do it. .. like a WD Live
or does XBOX have a MC on it? I would like to have some way to
stream this from the computer that made the recording to my TV
without having to remove the protection and re-encode the file each
time. I mistakenly thought I would be able to do this with my WD Live
but I was wrong. MC doesn't allow streaming, or even playing on
anything but the computer that made the recording...at least on
protected files..... which seems to be pretty much everything I have
recorded including a cable news broadcast! Thanks!

Is there a good way around WTV DRM ? I did not realize that it was

How do you mean? There are kind of ways, but I generally just use
MC-TV converter (you can find it) convert the .WTV to MKV, then it's
free and clear; do it on the machine it was created on.
