Zul,
I am not paranoid about reliability. I read Greg also!
I will join and play SSD when I move to Win7. Just do not wish to test the
waters with SSD in WinXP. SSD is in the future.

Ssds are fine. The issue comes with the controller and the trim
performance. If you are paranoid about reliability then stick with an Intel
ssd.
Some models have a five year warranty.

JoeUser,
I realize that we in the HWG often eschew reliability over performance.
I do not yet use an SSD, but, in reading all the traffic on our list it
seems to
me that ATM in SSD tech, we now look at reliability first, performance
second.
I could be wrong, but, this is what I read.
Yes, we are all 'early-adopters,' but, I still think some more time,
testing, and stats
need to surface before we again focus on just performance. I have no doubt
that it
will come in time.
Sadly, I will miss this buying spree. Darn. It will come again, I am sure.

I was thinking about picking up another SSD. How does this compare to a
OCZ Vertex series drive?
I really want the best performance.
