I just replaced my sons laptop drive with a 512 M4 and his desktop is
running 2 c300's in raid 0 . Also put a 128m4 in a older xp laptop
for a friend. Picked up performance a lot in that older box.
Been thinking of 2 x 512 m4's in raid 0 for my main system even
though that would be a loss of capacity ( but still plenty of room )

JoeUser,
I realize that we in the HWG often eschew reliability over performance.
I do not yet use an SSD, but, in reading all the traffic on our list
it seems to
me that ATM in SSD tech, we now look at reliability first, performance second.
I could be wrong, but, this is what I read.
Yes, we are all 'early-adopters,' but, I still think some more time,
testing, and stats
need to surface before we again focus on just performance. I have no
doubt that it
will come in time.
Sadly, I will miss this buying spree. Darn. It will come again, I am sure.

I was thinking about picking up another SSD. How does this compare to a
OCZ Vertex series drive?
I really want the best performance.
