Yes, it does mostly 'idle' 24/7. No, it is not overclocked; and,
in Asus '6-engine-speak', it spends most of its time in 'walk' mode.
(the modes are walk, automobile, jet plane, rocket).

I think I am at about 4yrs of use. Yes, I do use the supplied hs-fan from
Intel.
I now have to dig thru records to find actual purchase date for this chip.
It is fall, so, this is pretty normal!
