I got back into it after getting an electronic z-wave deadbolt. With the 
veralite controller you can have pincodes with options (like certain pin codes 
are 1 time only if you have someone coming to do work at the house, or only 
work 
during specified periods). I got the deadbolt for the ability to open it 
remotely with my phone, and to be notified when kids get home, etc.

The lights are on pre set schedules to turn on the large fish tank and faux 
fireplace, etc. Temperature sensors are for kicking on window fans when temp 
gets too high, etc.

Fire alarm will text my phone when triggered
