All (recent),
I just have to believe what I read as personal opinions is just from the
Early Adopters of this List.............. :(
I am still working toward Win7pro (from XPpro, from W2Kpro, from W98se,
from W95b, from ?sorry, I forget?, from MS-DOS!
I will let you folk 3-coin for "1st Adopter". Whoopee!
Please let me know who wins......

I agree, Win 8 is so faster and reliable. I love it. I am planning to
upgrade all my machines.

I do think a multi-touch touchpad is essential though if you don't have a
touch screen.

I upgraded to Windows 8 Pro. I went for the Deal they had online. I got
the
upgrade online and the DVD all for $59.00.

I am having issues with programs running. The problems need to be run as
Administrator. But other than that, it is running a lot faster. The Metro
is nice once you start adding apps you like.

Even with the huge hurdle I went through, which was the same with Windows 7
at first, I recommend it for home users and Small officer users. Right now
it is still under testing in Domain environment and it is doing well, but
still need to do further testing.

Subject: [H] Windows 8 Pro

So,

I bought an OEM copy of Windows 8 Pro.

Decided to do a fresh install (complete wipe) on my system.

Call me impressed, it's fast, stable and yes, the metro interface is
different, but after 5 days of using it, I'm finding I end up doing
things faster in Windows 8.

Has anyone else jumped onto the Windows 8 bandwagon?
