Here's a 15-minute YouTube video that compares three 3D printers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbgGmtk6ibo&feature=em-subs_digest-vrecs
(Companion written review: http://hothardware.com/Reviews/The-Definitive-3D-Printer-Roundup-Cubify-Up-Solidoodle/ ) It covers the Up! Mini ($900), the Cube 3D ($1300), and the Solidoodle 2 ($500~$700). The first two look like mass produced computer peripherals, rather than the boxy home-brew designs typically seen in this price range. Are we just a few years away from seeing a sub-$500 printer at BestBuy? (Well, Staples, as its questionable whether BestBuy will still exist in a few years.) -Tom _______________________________________________ Hardwarehacking mailing list [email protected] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/hardwarehacking
