Take inspiration from Sun's sources is not illegal per se. Simply, it would 
be impossible to demonstrate that you did not copy portions of copyrighted 
sourcecode. So, to avoid any headhake about licensing issues, it's better 
that you reinvent the weel, or that you rely only on "academic" knowledge.
