Along these lines, according to the "componentization" page [1] on the Wiki, there are a number of missing projects from the classlib. Would it be of value to at least stub out some of these major components? Perhaps things like Annotation, Instrument, Lang-Management, RMI, Concurrent, Prefs? It's not glamorous work, but I'd be willing to do some of it. I didn't know if there were any possible donations on the horizon that we might be waiting for.
