The YIVO Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lyudmila Sholokhova as YIVO's
Yiddish Catalog/Acquistions Librarian. A graduate of The Glier Music College in Kiev (Cello, Performance), Dr. Sholokhova holds a Master's Degree in Music from the Lvov State Conservatory and a Ph.D. in Musicology from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of the Ukraine. She also holds a certificate (Advanced Level) in Yiddish from YIVO's Max Weinreich Center, Columbia University. From 1989-1994 Dr. Sholokhova was a Reference Librarian at The National Library of the Ukraine, (Music Division).
