The Center for Jewish History Genealogy Institute and the American Jewish 
Historical Society seek a part-time Program Manager for the Samberg Family 
History Program.  This program offers high school students a unique 
opportunity to learn about Jewish history and family history through field 
trips, discussions, and extensive hands-on workshops at CJH.  Please see

The Program Manager is responsible for developing the curriculum, 
co-teaching workshops, and leading discussions and field trips.  He or she 
also supervises part-time instructors and interns, oversees student 
recruitment, and coordinates Program administration.

The Program will run full time from July 5-29, 2005. The starting date for 
the Program Manager position is flexible, but preference will be given to 
candidates who are available by April 1, 2005.

Candidates should have a strong background in Jewish History--preferably a 
Master's Degree or Ph.D. focusing on some aspect of Modern Jewish History 
or Jewish Culture--and teaching experience at the high school or college level.
