I've been reading with interest the discussion of the cost of the AJL National Convention and comparing the cost with CAJE. In addition to going to the AJL convention every year I go to CAJE every other year. Not including airfare the price of CAJE for a commuter this year is over $600 and if you want to stay on campus it's over $700. I don't see how AJL is that much more expensive than CAJE.
