During the R&S Division meeting at last month's convention, the issue was brought up of broadening AJL's scope to include archives. Earlier today, RLG held a Members Forum at the Center for Jewish History. The forum was titled "Libraries, Archives, & Museums--Three-Ring Circus, One Big Show?" and dealt with the definitions of these three institutions: what they have in common, what they have in difference, and collaboration between the three fields. The RLG Program Officers who facilitated the forum said that the presentations from the forum would soon be posted to RLG's website (the agenda can currently be seen at <http://www.rlg.org/en/page.php?Page_ID=20521>http://www.rlg.org/en/page.php?Page_ID=20521). I felt this would be some excellent food for thought.
