Hebrew Language Table, Motion Picture, Broadcasting & Recorded Sound Division: In cooperation with the Embassy of Israel Present the film: *A Treasure in Auschwitz* Yariv Nornberg, the organizer of the dig, will participate in a discussion following the film Wednesday February 28, 2007 12:00 NOON Mary Pickford Theater James Madison Building, Library of Congress *Treasures of Auschwitz* documents the effort to uncover buried Jewish treasure in the Polish town of Oswiecim, located near the Auschwitz extermination camp. The film tells the story of a young Israeli student, Yariv Nornberg, who organizes an archaeological excavation to unearth lost religious artifacts said to be buried at the site of the destroyed Great Synagogue. Those artifacts embody his own perished family and guide his attempt for a closure. Yariv Nornberg will participate in a discussion following the film.
