They Called Me Mayer July: Painted Memories of a Jewish Childhood in Poland Before the Holocaust This is a free event The galleries will close at 5:45 pm The Cooper Shop will stay open late Self-taught artist Mayer Kirshenblatt and his daughter, noted NYU Professor and scholar of Jewish culture Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett, celebrate the publication of this remarkable record of Jewish life in a Polish town before World War II.
