Good Morning All, The Jewish Women's Archive uses librarything to catalog our in house (non-circulating) library. A volunteer offered to do it for us and it has been wonderful. We can now figure out where a book has traipsed off to when it isn't in the library room. This, however, has taken some training on my part. The staff needs to sign in and add a tag stating whose office it is now living in. Took a while, but completely worth it.
About subject headings in librarything. They are not linked to anything, and are thus completely uncontrolled. We got around that by putting the in-book cataloged headings into that field and anything else we felt relevant went into the tag field. Hope this helps.
