We have an ongoing volunteer project entering both the Temple Beth Am
Adult and Spivak Family Youth Library collections into Librarything.
You can find them at TBAadult and TBAyouth in Librarything. It is
excellent for enabling patrons to learn what materials are owned by
the library from home. The one drawback is Librarything is not
designed specifically for circulation control. We continue to use
book cards/pockets for circulation, and Librarything for 'what do we
own' and recommendations and reviews. You will find it is possible to
get the cataloging information directly from a number of libraries
around the world, not just Library of Congress or Amazon It is not a
perfect solution, but for the price and convenience (all you need is
internet access!) it was our best choice for now.

Ann
