If you are a member of ALA and RUSA and you love reading Jewish 
literature, consider serving on the Sophie Brody Medal committee. 
This award honors achievement in Jewish literature. It was first 
awarded in 2006. Fiction, non-fiction, and poetry works are eligible. 
They must be published within the previous calendar year. As a 
committee member you nominate worhty books for consideration and read 
all of the submitted works. The committee meets to select the winner 
at ALA Miwinter, which will be in Dallas next year. To learn more
