The educational technologist will support the Jewish Theological Seminary. Duties include: 1. Defines the scope of complex projects and services. Coordinates the development of instructional materials for using technologies covered in courses. Provides oversight to programmers and designers on the development of digital materials. Manages multiple projects concurrently. (50%) 2. Develops plans for applying educational theory and technology to a specific learning or teaching problem. Coordinates support to instructors in the creation and implementation of course websites using course management systems, and online resources such as wikis, blogs, and media platforms. (25%) 3. Designs instructor workshops on a variety of online tools and media services. Serves as subject matter expert for designated workshop content. Occasionally delivers workshops.(8%) 4.Conducts outreach and follow up with assigned departments and schools. Develops strong working relationships with academic staff and effectively accesses institutional resources(5%) 5.Develops strategies for change within CCNMTL based on emerging instructional technologies and evolving standards in educational practice and design.
