Classical works of Jewish philosophy have always been influenced by the philosophical environment of their times. This book deliberately tries to limit itself to the Jewish sources themselves, without involving external philosophical ideologies. About the Author Rabbi Shlomo Polachek was born in New York City in 1947. He received rabbinical ordination at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Yeshiva in 1971. In 1977, Rabbi Polachek immigrated to Israel, served as a chaplain in the Israeli Army reserves, and lives in Rehovot.
