Rory McCann's mail reminded me of American ATM machines. In the Netherlands,
if I want 20 euros, I type in '20'. In the US, if I want $20, for some
reason I have to enter '2000' despite the fact that the least amount
of money I can get from the machine is $10.

From my perspective, it would make the most amount of sense if 0.00 were
fixed and you started filling out the 10s spot, although I can understand
why the Dutch machines make you start at the 1s. The American design,
however, is just plain retarded.
